Senior GL Accountant | $120K-$150K + Discretionary Bonus
Privately Owned Real Estate Investment Firm
I'm partnering with a privately owned real estate investment, construction, and property management company focused on multifamily residential real estate throughout the Bay Area.
The firm is looking for a Senior GL Accountant to take ownership of accounting across a complex, multi-entity organization while working closely with leadership and gaining exposure to the broader business.
Even better? An accounting intern already handles much of the repetitive work, giving you more room to focus on analysis, problem-solving, and understanding the business beyond the general ledger.
What You'll Do
Own hands-on general ledger accounting across multiple entities
Understand how different legal entities interact and how transactions flow throughout the organization
Analyze financial activity and investigate discrepancies rather than simply processing transactions
Oversee and delegate recurring accounting tasks to an accounting intern
Work with Yardi and other accounting processes to support accurate financial records
Partner directly with management and senior leadership on accounting matters and business needs
Gradually take on broader responsibilities as you develop a deeper understanding of the organization
Requirements
Who They're Looking For
Experience in public accounting, audit, tax, or hands-on industry accounting
Multi-entity accounting experience is a major plus
Strong analytical skills and natural curiosity-you want to understand the why behind the numbers
Someone confident, accountable, resilient, and receptive to direct feedback
A self-starter who enjoys working in a small, entrepreneurial environment
Real estate experience is welcome but not required
